Flu Shot Clinic

During the flu season, the McLean County Health Department offers flu shots. Flu shots are offered only if the vaccine is available.

Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)

During the month of October, Senior Service Outreach representatives from PATH, help income eligible seniors prepare their LIHEAP applications.

Rules of the Road

Various times throughout the calendar year, representatives from the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), sponsored by the Illinois Secretary of State's Office, offer a number of Rules of the Road review sessions. The classes are free and are open to all seniors. Pre-registration is not required. For more information, call 888-9099.

Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP)

YWCA/RSVP counselors are available the 4th Tuesday of each month to help seniors with Medicare or health insurance questions.

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA)

Income tax assistance is available during February, March and early April to individuals needing assistance with their income tax returns. For more information, call 888-9099.

Shuttle Bus Service

The Normal Township Seniors Program shuttle bus service is available to seniors 60 years of age or older in Normal Township. The shuttle bus service offers door-to-door transportation to and from our programs at the Community Activity Center. The shuttle bus operates Monday through Friday, according to the Seniors Program calendar year. Pick-up time begins at 9:00 am and runs until approximately 10:00 am. The return trips take place at 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm. The cost for riding the shuttle bus is $1.00 each way. In order to run an efficient shuttle bus service, all riders need to reserve a seat on the shuttle bus by Noon one day in advance.
